Counseling Programs

  • SHORT TERM CRISIS COUNSELING

The immediate aftermath of sexual violence can create a flooding of emotions, intrusive thoughts and uncontrolled fears. For victims or family members who need immediate assistance in dealing with the trauma of a sexual assault, we offer short term crisis counseling sessions at no charge.

  • INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY COUNSELING

Licensed mental health professionals are available to help victims and affected family members cope with the difficult thoughts, feelings and symptoms related to sexual abuse, incest or assault. The long term effects of childhood and other forms of sexual violence can be debilitating and destructive. They can manifest through symptoms of depression or anxiety, anger, nightmares, intrusive thoughts or many other warning signs. Healing from the trauma of abuse is possible. All counseling services are confidential and clients are treated with the utmost respect. Payments are accepted through insurance, medical assistance, or using a sliding fee scale based on family income.

  • CHILD THERAPY

Children are the most vulnerable and powerless victims of sexual violence. Often times reporting is a terrifying and confusing experience for them. Whenever children are abused, families are thrown into turmoil. Parents and adults can feel a range of emotions when a child reports, including helplessness, anger and fear. Reach (RCS) offers a fully trained child therapist who works with victims of sexual and domestic violence between the ages of 4 and 13. Our child therapist also works closely with parents and other family members to stabilize the family system and create a supportive and healing environment for everyone. There is no charge for the child therapy services.

No one is turned away due to financial problems. We will work with you to develop a plan to make therapy affordable.
